Rusell Barnett  

Russell Barnett

Russell Barnett is the Founding Partner of Australian Venture Consultants. He has over 18 years experience in complex strategic and operational analysis across a range of industries in the Australasian and the Asia Pacific region. Russell's primary focus is in the resources sector. He has led operational and strategic analytical advisory engagements with numerous mining and oil and gas companies ranging from SME service companies to diversified multinational resources companies. Russell also has extensive current experience in analysing resources industry-wide strategic issues such as the critical skills shortage, future education and training needs, future knowledge and technology needs and critical infrastructure needs. Russell is a frequent speaker at resources industry conferences.

Russell has completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Graduate Certificate in Minerals Economics and a Masters of Business Administration. He is an adjunct Associate Professor in Innovation at the University of Western Australia Business School and a member of the Senate of Murdoch University.



Larry Lopez  

Larry Lopez

Larry Lopez is a Partner Australian Venture Consultants. Larry has over 25 years experience in enabling knowledge based businesses, technology finance, strategic planning, regional development and executive management.

Prior to moving to Perth in 2006, Lopez spent 17 years at SVB Financial Group, a publicly traded US financial services company specializing in technology finance. During his tenure at SVB, he was involved in many of the strategic initiatives that helped the bank evolve into a global powerhouse in technology finance. He was the co-founder of the Bank's international venture capital practice and responsible for the Bank's activities in Europe, Israel and Australia.

Larry has extensive experience in strategic planning. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences, and has extensive experience working with government agencies and the media. Larry has served on a number of boards and is currently a director of several organisations.

Larry has a BSc in Business Administration from Menlo College, and is a Graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at the University Washington in Seattle.



Jason Ledger  

Jason Ledger

Jason Ledger is an Associate at Australian Venture Consultants. Jason is a PhD Candidate in Molecular Genetics at the University of Western Australia as well as Honour's at Murdoch University majoring in Biomedical Science and Molecular Biology. Adding to this, he has completed a graduate Certificate of Technology Commercialization at the University of Western Australia as well as a Maters of Business Administration at Curtin University.

Jason has broad interests in technology and strong research experience in biological disciplines. He has successfully addressed several issues of ecological and commercial relevance with work published in international peer reviewed journals.



Suzanne Frame  

Suzanne Frame

Suzanne Frame is a Consultant at Australian Venture Consultants. Suzanne brings over 19 years’ experience in financial, operational and strategic business analysis and planning, extensive experience in implementation of strategic initiatives and product launches in the financial, government, not for profit, resources and energy sectors.

Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Business, a Master of Business Administration, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Suzanne is a Council Member at St Catherine's College, a non-denominational residential college for women at the University of Western Australia.

Suzanne has extensive stakeholder management capability and significant experience in conducting consultation with industry and Government on complex policy, regulatory and industry-specific technical issues, with an exemplary track record in program delivery.



Jeremy Rigg  

Jeremy Rigg

Jeremy has recently commenced as a Consultant with Australian Venture Consultants. He brings over 18 years experience as a senior professional adviser across a range of sectors, including healthcare, financial services and higher education. His areas of expertise include strategic and operational planning, change management and good governance practices.

Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Pharmacology) and a Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) from the University of Western Australia, and a Masters of Law from the University of British Columbia. In addition to being an experienced in-house lawyer, he is a qualified company secretary and a Fellow of Leadership WA. Jeremy is also the Vice President of the Palmerston Association, a not-for-profit organisation that serves to support individuals and families in Western Australia that are facing issues with alcohol and drug use.
